"Regulation of DNA Replication by Ubiquitin and SUMO"

Emilio Lecona carried out his PhD in the Complutense University of Madrid working on gene regulation by histone deacetylase inhibitors. In 2007 he moved to the laboratory of Danny Reinberg where he studied the functions of Polycomb group complexes in gene repression. Then he joined the Genomic Instability group at the CNIO where he started to develop his own research line on the regulation of DNA replication and repair by ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like modifiers. In 2018, he joined the CBM Severo Ochoa and his work is now focused on understanding how ubiquitin and SUMO influence DNA replication
