We are a leading healthcare campus encompassing all fields of health: from healthcare and research to teaching and management.
Professionalism, commitment and research by professionals on the Campus are the key elements in offering patients excellent care.
We are committed to research as a tool to provide solutions to the daily challenges we face in the field of medical healthcare.
Thanks to our healthcare, teaching and research potential, we work to incorporate new knowledge to generate value for patients, professionals and the organization itself.
We generate, transform and transmit knowledge in all areas of the health sciences, helping to train the professionals of the future.
We are defined by our vocation for communication. We invite you to share everything that happens at Vall d'Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus, and our doors are always open.

On 21 October, the 2026 Quiral Report was presented under the title “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare: Public Opinion and Communication”. The report is the result of a joint project between the Vila Casas Foundation and the Centre for Science, Communication and Society Studies at Pompeu Fabra University (CCS-UPF).
Building on the topic explored in this report, we are organising two discussion sessions. The first, entitled “The Rise of Medical Chatbots and AI-Powered Health and Wellbeing Apps”, will take place on Wednesday, 25 November 2026, at 5 pm at Espais Volart (22 Ausiàs Marc Street, 08010 Barcelona).
On this occasion, our speakers will be Mr Manuel Armayones, Professor of Behavioural Design at the Open University of Catalonia, and Mr Joan Guanyabens, Director of the TIC Salut i Social Foundation, part of the Department of Health.
The discussion will be introduced by Dr Gema Revuelta, Director of the Centre for Science, Communication and Society Studies (CCS-UPF), and moderated by Dr Miquel Vilardell. Both are trustees of the Antoni Vila Casas Private Foundation.
Representing Pompeu Fabra University, Mr Vladimir de Semir, President of the Centre for Science, Communication and Society Studies (CCS-UPF), will also attend.
