Jo Innovo aims to promote innovation and recognise the work of the many professionals at Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus. In an environment of constant change and new challenges, drawing on in-house talent to generate ideas that improve the hospital’s day-to-day operations is extremely valuable. From app development and complex business ideas to care improvements that enhance the working environment — any project and profile can take part in Jo Innovo, as long as it fits within one of the four defined categories and challenges.Once all proposals have been submitted, the Innovation Committee selects the twelve semi-finalist projects, and a final vote is held involving hospital professionals and a jury of experts. What are the prizes? Winners of each category The winning ideas in each of the four categories receive a training stay to explore the innovative ecosystem of a hospital belonging to the European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA), as well as training in innovation. Finalist ideas The twelve finalist ideas, three per category, will receive innovation training from the Healthcare Transformation Academy, a project coordinated by Vall d’Hebron that aims to standardise non-technical skills among healthcare professionals across Europe. Best Presenter Award For the second year in a row, we will also recognise the person who delivers the best presentation of their project during the Jo Innovo final gala. The winner will be awarded a training stay in a media outlet.
