Ma Eugènia Gay, segona tinenta d’Alcaldia de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona ha visitat avui el Campus Vall d’Hebron, convidada per la BCN PID Foundation. Gay ha estat acompanyada pel Dr. Albert Salazar, gerent de l’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron; la Dra. Ma José Abadías, directora assistencial; la Dra. Begoña Benito, directora del Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR); el Dr. Pere Soler, cap de Servei de Pediatria i cap del Grup de Recerca d’Infecció i Immunitat al Pacient Pediàtric; Carlota Villar, vicepresidenta de la BCN PID Foundation, i Sandra Estiarte, coordinadora de la fundació.
Durant el matí, Ma Eugènia Gay ha pogut conèixer l’Hospital de Dia Polivalent Infantil; el laboratori del Grup de Recerca d’Infecció i Immunitat al Pacient Pediàtric, ubicat a l’Edifici Collserola; l'Edifici Central del VHIR; i els nous espais d'hospitalització d'Oncologia i Hematologia Pediàtriques, reformats recentment, on ha pogut veure les noves habitacions d'hospitalització per a infants i adolescents, així com les noves àrees de treball i zones d'esbarjo.
La segona tinenta d’Alcaldia de Barcelona també ha tingut l’oportunitat de conèixer els representants de la Fundació Albert Bosch, que juntament amb les fundacions Aladina i Small, han fet possible la transformació d’aquests espais, que ben aviat es posaran en funcionament.
