SEVA® (Standardized Education for Ventilatory Assistance) és un programa internacional de formació en ventilació mecànica desenvolupat per la Cleveland Clinic que combina aprenentatge en línia, simulació clínica i entrenament presencial. El curs ofereix una formació estandarditzada i universal en els principis de la ventilació mecànica, proporcionant als participants una base comuna de coneixement i un llenguatge compartit per a la presa de decisions clíniques relacionades amb el suport ventilatori.
Adreçat a metges, infermeres, fisioterapeutes respiratoris, residents i altres professionals implicats en l’atenció del pacient crític, el programa aborda els fonaments de la ventilació mecànica, la classificació dels modes ventilatoris, la interpretació de corbes i paràmetres respiratoris, la interacció pacient-ventilador i l’aplicació del model Goal-Directed Ventilator Management (GDVM), orientat a millorar la seguretat, el confort i el procés de retirada de la ventilació mecànica.
