El càncer de cap i coll és un grup de tumors malignes que poden aparèixer a la mucosa de la cavitat oral, la faringe i la laringe, així com a les glàndules salivals. El tabac i l’alcohol són els principals factors de risc, tot i que el virus del papil·loma humà (VPH) també té un paper important, especialment en els tumors de l’orofaringe. En aquest pòdcast parlem dels principals símptomes i factors de risc, de la importància del diagnòstic precoç i de les opcions de tractament, que es personalitzen segons cada pacient. També abordem els avenços en cirurgia mínimament invasiva, reconstrucció, cirurgia robòtica i planificació en 3D, així com les principals línies de recerca en aquest tipus de càncer.
