I am a specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health and a member of the Process Improvement Unit within the Directorate of Quality, Safety, Process Improvement and Innovation at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital. My work focuses on analysing and optimising healthcare processes by identifying opportunities to eliminate non-value-added activities, redesign clinical pathways and improve the efficient use of resources. Through Lean methodologies, data analytics and Value-Based Healthcare principles, I contribute to improving patient outcomes, the experience of patients and healthcare professionals, and the sustainability of the healthcare system.

Curriculum

I completed my residency in Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in 2024, while also obtaining a Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) from Pompeu Fabra University.

Throughout my training, I gained experience across a wide range of healthcare settings, including vaccination of high-risk patients, infection prevention and control, healthcare quality, community health, health information systems, the Public Health Agency of Catalonia, and international research institutions such as the Arnold School of Public Health (University of South Carolina, USA). This multidisciplinary background provided me with a broad understanding of how healthcare systems operate and led me to focus my career on improving the organisation and delivery of healthcare.

I currently work on strategic improvement projects across different clinical pathways, with a particular focus on surgical services and outpatient care. My work combines clinical insight, data analysis and process improvement to support organisational decision-making and redesign healthcare services.

In 2025, I completed the Lean Black Belt Practitioner postgraduate programme (UPC – Lean Institute). I continue to expand my expertise in Value-Based Healthcare through specialised training with Erasmus MC and my participation in the international ValueCatalyst network. I am also a member of the Health Services Research Group at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital.
