I am a nurse and physical therapist specializing in mental health, addictions, and clinical research. I currently work in the Psychiatry, Mental Health, and Addictions group at VHIR. My career combines patient care, clinical trials, teaching, and nursing research aimed at improving the quality of life of people with mental health issues.

Curriculum

I hold a degree in Nursing from the University of Barcelona and a diploma in Physical Therapy from the Gimbernat University School affiliated with UAB. I have a master's degree in Drug Dependence and a master's degree in Mental Health Research, and I am currently preparing to submit a doctoral proposal to UAB. I have focused my career on mental health, addictions, and clinical research. For seven years, I worked as a mental health nurse at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, in adult acute psychiatric inpatient units and in the child and adolescent setting. This period allowed me to consolidate my skills in clinical assessment, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and interdisciplinary work.

I currently work as a research nurse at the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research, within the Psychiatry, Mental Health, and Addictions group. I participate in studies and clinical trials related to mental health. My main interests are treatment-resistant depression, intranasal esketamine, quality of life, psychosocial functioning, and patient experience. I have also conducted research on chemsex and mental health, and on insomnia and mental health.

I have contributed to publications, scientific presentations, and posters at national and international conferences. I received the Best Poster Award at the Trinity Health and Education International Research Conference 2024 and an honorable mention for the ASCISAM Research Award 2023. I also teach healthcare professionals de-escalation techniques and how to manage agitated patients. I am a member of the ASCISAM board of directors, participating as part of the organizing and scientific committees for the 2026 Catalan Congress on Mental Health Nursing, and I have experience in leadership and international cooperation with the NGO Fisios Mundi in Vietnam and Nepal. My practice is based on a nursing, interdisciplinary, and person-centered perspective.
