Once again, the winners of the photo contest have picked up their photographs in a printed form. Last year, the names of the authors of the twelve winning photographs in each category in the 2019 edition were announced.

In this contest, professionals from Vall d’Hebron can participate in two categories: “People’s Hospital” category and “Scientific Category”. People’s Hospital category includes daily moments of the general activity of Vall d’Hebron Campus. Photographs have to reflect the relationship between professionals or between professionals and patients and their families in a creative way. The Scientific Category aims to make research known, but also the beauty, plasticity and singularity of the images, parallelism and synergies that are established between science, art and creativity. Each year, two calendars (planning and table formats) are designed with the winning photographs.

In the People’s Hospital category, Dr. Jaume Izquierdo, from the Pediatric ICU, has been the most voted winner thanks to the photograph “Un nou cor per tornar a començar”. In the category of scientific images, Anna Duarri, researcher at the Ophthalmology research group at VHIR, has been the most voted winner the photograph “hiPSC-brain cells”. They both won a Polaroid camera as a prize.
