La infermera Ester Navarro Correal, de la Unitat d’Atenció Crohn i Colitis Ulcerosa (UACC), del Servei d’Aparell Digestiu de l’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron, ha guanyat el Primer Premi d’Investigació en Infermeria de la IX Reunió del Grup Infermer de Treball en Malaltia Infamatòria Intestinal (GETEII).
El treball d’investigació, un projecte de recerca titulat “La intervenció infermera motivacional per la deshabituació tabàquica via telefònica és eficaç en pacients amb Malaltia de Crohn”, neix de la necessitat d’ajudar als pacients a abandonar l’hàbit tabàquic. Se sap que el tabaquisme està definit com uns dels factors ambientals que impacta negativament en la malaltia de Crohn. D’aquesta manera, deixar de fumar contribueix a la millora de la qualitat de vida i el benestar dels pacients.
