Les meves dues passions són la ciència i l'art amb les mans. Des que era un nen volia ser metge i cirurgià. Vaig fer l'especialitat en l'Hospital que volia, Vall d'Hebron. I a la Unitat de Cremats vaig descobrir un món apassionant i ple de reptes. La meva inquietud científica m'ha portat a treballar a diferents països, a ampliar coneixements i a aplicar tècniques quirúrgiques innovadores i complexes, de tercer nivell. L'excel·lència en la cirurgia, la humiltat i la comprensió en el tracte amb els pacients són per a mi essencials en el desenvolupament de la meva professió.

Curriculum

El meu expedient acadèmic em va permetre estudiar la carrera de medicina becat per la Universitat de Barcelona. Durant els meus últims anys de carrera, en fer pràctiques en hospitals, vaig veure les possibilitats que oferia l'especialitat de Cirurgia Plàstica, Estètica i Reparadora.
Em vaig formar com a especialista a l'Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron, on vaig poder treballar a la Unitat de Cremats. Després vaig treballar als Estats Units, Països Baixos i Regne Unit, on vaig ampliar coneixements i tècniques quirúrgiques i vaig poder dirigir projectes de recerca.
Actualment sóc cap del Servei de Cirurgia Plàstica i Cremats de l'Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron. Entre les meves especialitats destaquen trasplantament de cara, tècniques de reconstrucció per tractar la paràlisi facial i també de cremats.
