Sr. Laionel Peñafiel Rubilar

A few years ago, I realised that I am highly drawn to the field of nursing, and my intention in the near future is to continue my professional development. I hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2026), a higher technician degree in health documentation and administration (2022), and a nursing assistant degree (2019), both from Institut Hospital del Mar d'FP Sanitària.

For most of my career, I have carried out my clinical experiencie within the Traumatology, Rehabilitation and Burns Hospital, specifically in the burns unit, traumatology emergency department, post-operative recovery, intensive care, among others.

During my training, I completed several clinical placements, including one in the nursing management department’s of methodology and continuous improvement at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (2026) and an Erasmus+ international mobility placement in the traumatology unit at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Grenoble-Alpes (2019).

I also participated as a speaker at the XVII national congress of medical documentation.

At present, I combine clinical practice with a growing interest in nursing management, quality, and continuous improvement, with the aim of contributing to safe, efficient, and patient-centred care.
