ECOCATHSIM: Ultrasound-guided central venous access channeling

ECOCATHSIM is a practical course that trains residents in ultrasound-guided central venous access cannulation. With theory, simulation, and practice, it prepares them to perform the technique safely and efficiently.

The ECOCATHSIM program offers comprehensive training in ultrasound-guided central venous access cannulation, combining theory and practice to ensure effective and safe learning. Overall, this program provides the necessary tools for expert management of this technique.

The course is structured in four phases:

  1. Online theory: Participants review educational videos before the practical sessions to acquire basic knowledge of anatomy, ultrasound and insertion techniques.
  2. Tutored practices: Sessions with experts where ultrasound-guided cannulation is perfected in different locations such as the femoral, jugular and subclavian veins. Arterial techniques and verification with IC-ECG systems are also addressed.
  3. Free practices: Residents have autonomous time to consolidate skills and achieve the learning curve.
  4. Final assessment: Includes a theoretical and practical test to ensure the integration of the knowledge and skills acquired.

The content covers everything from indications and complications to patient preparation and sterile technique. In addition, the program incorporates clinical cases and simulators to reinforce the decision-making process and the safety of the procedure.

With ECOCATHSIM, you will acquire the essential skills for clinical practice, preparing you to apply this technique on real patients with confidence and precision.

Train yourself in ultrasound-guided central venous access cannulation with ECOCATHSIM: theory, simulation and practice to ensure safety and clinical accuracy.

BRONCOSIM: Basic training in flexible bronchoscopy

BRONCOSIM is a flexible bronchoscopy training program aimed at residents from various specialities. With a practical, simulation-based methodology, participants acquire skills for the safe handling of the bronchoscope and the exploration of the bronchial trees.

The BRONCOSIM program offers specialized training in flexible bronchoscopy. It combines theory and practical simulation to ensure safe and effective learning, adapted to the needs of each speciality.

The sessions are organized in two formats: an intensive one-day modality with 8 hours of training or a modality distributed in 2-hour sessions over 4 days. The program includes theoretical classes followed by practical sessions with simulators, as well as free time so that participants can perfect their technique at their own pace.

The content covers fundamental aspects such as the preparation and operation of the bronchoscope, the anatomy of the upper airway and bronchial trees, and specific techniques such as guided orotracheal intubation and bronchoalveolar lavage. This practical approach allows you to develop key skills such as the safe handling of the bronchoscope and the identification of potential complications.

The training culminates with a final assessment, in which each participant performs a bronchoscopy supervised by an instructor, who reviews the quality of the procedure using the simulator.

BRONCOSIM prepares you to face clinical rotations in the bronchoscopy room as well as critical patient management and the operating room with confidence and solid skills.

Specialize in flexible bronchoscopy with BRONCOSIM: practical training and simulation to acquire safe skills in handling the bronchoscope.
