Kidney transplantation is the best treatment for patients with chronic kidney failure, as it offers the longest survival rate, a better quality of life, and a lower cost.

The first step toward improving patient access to transplantation requires a healthcare system that efficiently organizes the identification and procurement of organs from potential donors.

The Advanced Training in Kidney Transplantation offered by Vall d'Hebron University Hospital is an observer training activity aimed at expanding the theoretical and practical training of nephrology specialists in the clinical, organizational, and research aspects of kidney transplantation.
