El Servei d'Obstetrícia i Endocrinologia Reproductiva de l'Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron de Barcelona és un dels serveis més importants en aquesta àrea de l'Estat Espanyol i està relacionat amb diversos centres europeus i americans.La Medicina Matern Fetal, abasta una gamma de patologies tan àmplia que els professionals requereixen una formació complementària en centres de referència, per així assolir una base ferma de coneixement. La Formació avançada curta estada en biòpsies corials de la Unitat de Diagnòstic Prenatal és un programa amb perfil observer que ofereix formació en la detecció de defectes congènits i en l'assessorament genètic prenatal en parelles de risc per antecedent previ (familiar o propi), així com en la valoració dels estudis necessaris per al risc de cromosomopatia derivat del cribatge.
