Hem donat 2.215 altes entre el període que va de l’1 de març al 7 de maig.
Tal com indica un informe de l’Agència de Qualitat i Avaluació Sanitàries de Catalunya (AQuAS), l’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron és el centre hospitalari que més altes de COVID-19 ha donat de tota Catalunya. Concretament són 2.215 entre el període que va de l’1 de març al 7 de maig. En segona posició es troba l’Hospital Universitari Mútua de Terrassa amb 1.401 altes. Això revela que Vall d’Hebron ha donat fins a un 60 % més d’altes que el següent hospital del país.
Aquestes xifres són el resultat de l’esforç ingent que s’ha fet a Vall d’Hebron per adequar els espais assistencials i ampliar al màxim la capacitat de llits per a pacients amb COVID-19. Bon exemple d’aquest esforç són els 200 llits d’UCI que vam habilitar per fer front al pic de la pandèmia fins a arribar a ser l’hospital de tot l’Estat que més en disposava. Ara, bona part d’aquests espais ja s’han recuperat per al seu ús habitual.
Un altre exemple és l’adequació del Centre Esportiu Municipal Olímpics Vall d’Hebron com a extensió de l’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron, que tenia una capacitat per atendre fins a 132 pacients amb COVID-19 no crítics.
