La revista Newsweek, en col·laboració amb Statista, també destaca l’excel·lència de Vall d’Hebron en els PROM, és a dir, les mesures de resultats reportats pels pacients.
El rànquing World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2027 situa onze especialitats de l’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron entre les 100 millors del món, tres més que l’any passat. Dintre de les especialitats reconegudes, destaca Oncologia Mèdica, que ocupa aquest l’any la posició 22 del món en la seva disciplina i a més apareix com la primera de l’Estat.
La resta d'especialitats ocupen les següents posicions mundials:
Vall d'Hebron destaca en la primera posició a Catalunya en Endocrinologia, Cirurgia Cardíaca, Traumatologia, Gastroenterologia i Pneumologia.
Per tant, Vall d'Hebron està entre els 100 millors hospitals del món en 11 de les 13 especialitats mèdiques incloses aquest any en el rànquing.
Lideratge a Catalunya en l’àmbit dels PROM
Vall d'Hebron també destaca en l'àmbit dels PROM (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures), uns indicadors que recullen directament la valoració dels pacients sobre el seu estat de salut, qualitat de vida i resultats dels tractaments. En aquesta edició del rànquing, Vall d'Hebron és l'hospital de Catalunya amb més reconeixements en aquest àmbit, un indicador que valora com els hospitals recullen, analitzen i utilitzen aquesta informació per millorar l'assistència i la presa de decisions clíniques centrades en el pacient. Segons la metodologia de Newsweek i Statista, la implementació dels PROM constitueix un dels tres pilars que s'utilitzen per elaborar el rànquing.
World’s Best Specialized Hospitals
La revista Newsweek, en col·laboració amb Statista, publica anualment el World’s Best Specialized Hospitals des del 2021. Aquesta edició reconeix els millors hospitals de tot el món en 13 especialitats mèdiques. La llista s'elabora a partir d'una enquesta internacional dirigida a professionals experts en medicina i salut, que podien recomanar i avaluar diversos hospitals, segons la seva especialitat mèdica. També s’han tingut en compte les dades d’acreditacions i certificacions dels centres, així com l'Enquesta d'Execució PROM d’Statista. En total, s'han avaluat més de 8.500 hospitals de tot el món.
