Institutions of which it is part

I am a PhD student in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). I am doing my thesis project in the group of Biomedical Research in Gynecology at the Vall Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) under the supervision of Dr. Eva Colás and Dr. Antonio Gil. My project is based on the study of endometrial cancer, specifically, on the research of biomarkers to predict recurrence.

Curriculum

I am a PhD student in the field of biomedical research in gynecology. I am interested in projects with applications that are directly applied into patients.
I studied Biotechnology at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) and I studied a master of Translational Medicine at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB). During my studies I have developed a keen interest in the field of oncology and how de scientific advances can help in the diagnosis, prognosis, and personalized treatments.
I am currently focused on the identification, verification and validation of biomarkers to detect recurrence in patients with endometrial cancer. In addition, we are also testing new drugs as possible treatments for these patients.
