ECOSIM: Ultrasound training

Clinical ultrasound is a fundamental tool in clinical practice, as it provides highly valuable information for patient diagnosis and treatment. A training itinerary in clinical ultrasound, with simulation, facilitates the acquisition of skills and knowledge quickly and safely.

With this program from the Simulation Centre, we offer you a complete experience to master ultrasound and related techniques. The theoretical training is carried out online with capsules recorded by our teachers, and covers essential areas such as:

•   Basic principles of ultrasound
•   Abdominal module
•   Pulmonary module
•   Vascular module
•   Ultrasound protocols

The practical part of the program is carried out in two blocks with small groups. In these sessions, you will work at three stations and start each workshop with a brief review of the theory. Then, you will be able to put into practice what you have learned with ultrasound equipment, the Vimedix 2.0 simulator, and real clinical cases.

You will also have time for free practice with the simulator, to consolidate your knowledge. At the end of the program, you will take a practical exam with the simulator to verify the knowledge acquired.

Upon completion of the program, you will be able to perform an agile and precise ultrasound examination based on the clinical syndrome presented by patients. You will also be able to differentiate ultrasound images without alterations from others with pathology that may involve clinical decisions in the treatment of patients.

With this program you will acquire the necessary skills to effectively integrate ultrasound into your daily clinical practice.
